The China Edition allows you to
easily
customize your own tea rituals. Here are a few potential ways to enjoy
this
combination of teas and teaware while listening to the Samovar Tea
Lounge CD:
> Arrange the Glass
Oolong Teapot and Sencha Teacups on the Samovar Bamboo Tray for a
portable tea
ritual at your desk, in nature or elsewhere. Fill the teapot about
halfway with
Monkey Picked Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong or Maiden's Ecstasy Pu-erh
tealeaves
and add hot water from a carafe. Brew the leaves over and over,
observing the
changes in flavor with each successive infusion. Savor your oolong with a
simple treat (think fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies) or pair your
pu-erh
with a decadently rich snack (like cheesecake).
> Cool boiling water in
the Sencha Teacups until the cups are comfortable to the touch. Pour the
cooled
water over a half-full Glass Oolong Teapot of Hubei Spring Needle.
Briefly
steep, and then pour your brew into the Sencha Teacups. Optional: Pair
with a
Chinese steamed bun, pan-fried vegetable dumplings, or a ginger-spiked
stirfry
with wide rice noodles.
> Pre-warm the Nambu
Tekki Samovar Tetsubin with hot water. Discard the water, add tealeaves,
and
then brew. Serve in Sencha Teacups, with or without the Samovar Bamboo
Tray.
