The arch unhinges, and the glass tube can be removed and cleaned just like a drinking glass. Both the metal and glass parts are dishwasher safe. Where is it made? The metal is cast in Shenzhen, China and finished and assembled in Brooklyn, NY Where is the design from? A San Francisco designer named Joey Roth designed the Sorapot and launched it in 2008.   What size are the perforated holes? Each hole is about 1mm diameter.   Will it work with all teas or does one still need an infuser with some teas? Sorapot works best with larger leaf teas like oolong and pu-erh. A new version is in the works that will eventually have interchangeable filters for all types of tea. Is there an easy way to remove the leaves or does one have to poor the tea out once brewing time has been reached? The tea needs to be completely emptied into cups or a pitcher. The Sorapot has an 11 oz capacity, which is just about 2 cups.
