Plum blossom teapot for making Japanese green teas, senchas and gyokuros, to perfection.

This side handled teapot is handcrafted in Tokoname, Aichi Japan using highly refined clay, which results in a smooth, flawless, yet unglazed surface.

The natural ash earthenware is so silky and glows with the deep reddish hue we call "International Orange" in San Francisco (the color of the Golden Gate Bridge).  Delicate white plum blossoms adorn the lid and side of this iconic kyusu (teapot).

Inside the pot, an Ita-Ami (a stainless steal, fine mesh screen) lines the wall near the spout and catches the small particles of the finest steamed green teas. This means that this pot is also perfect for all loose leaf teas.
